Archiving Images

 

I saw something really cool or really weird. How can I save the image??

You can save images or short clips onto the ultrasound machine's hard drive. If you would like the images reviewed, send us an email at ultrasound@rchemerg.com - with the date/time and type of exam and we'll get back to you once we review!

Saving images:

  1. Get the image you want on screen
  2. Press the "FREEZE" button
  3. Press the "SAVE" button - machine will beep to signify saved image
  4. Press the "FREEZE" button again to unfreeze the image

Saving clips

  1. Get the image you want on screen
  2. Press the "CLIP" button - but keep scanning! It will record the next 6 seconds of scanning. It will beep once it's saved the clip.

How do I see my images/clips?

  1. End the current exam by pushing the "A" or "B" buttons
  2. Press the "REVIEW" button on the top right side of the keyboard. This will change the screen to a menu with a list of studies.
  3. Using the trackpad on the keyboard, select your image (based on date/time) by click on the check box to the left of the screen and pushing "SELECT"

Is there a way to save the images to USB?

Yes there is! It's a little bit more complicated but the process is as follows:

USB Insertion

  1. Insert USB memory key into the side USB port on the machine
  2. End the current exam by pushing the "A" or "B" buttons
  3. Press the "REVIEW" button on the top right side of the keyboard. This will change the screen to a menu with a list of studies.
  4. Using the trackpad on the keyboard, select your image (based on date/time) by click on the check box to the left of the screen and pushing "SELECT"
  5. On the bottom of the screen, push the button below "EXP USB" 
  6. Then select the USB device you want to export to and push "EXPORT" on the screen

How do I measure the fetal heart rate on PoCUS?

1. Find the target (fetal heart beat)

2. Select "M-Mode"

3. Move the M-Line cursor over the heart beat

4. Select "M-Mode" again

5. Once you've identified the fetal heart beat on M-Mode (undulating line) click "Freeze"

6. Select "Calipers"

7. Select "HR" option (on top left of keyboard next to power button)

8. Move the first caliper to the beginning on the first heart beat (or bump)

9. Move the second caliper to the beginning of the next heart beat (or bump)

10. FHR will display automatically on bottom left of the screen
