Agranulocytosis (Neutropenia) Associated with Levamisole in Cocaine in BC

The BC Centre for Disease Control is carrying out a study to investigate the epidemiology of Levamisole-induced agranulocytosis in BC.

The purpose of their study is to find out more about this condition. Why do some people get it and others don't? What happens after people recover, and why do some people get it more than once?

Emergency Department Physicians who suspect that one of their patients may have agranulocytosis secondary to cocaine contaminated by Levamisole, are asked to complete a reporting form by downloading the PDF file below.

More information about this study can be found on the BC Centre for Disease Control website located at: www.bccdc.ca/cocaine.
