Effective February 1, 2011, health care facilities and emergency medical assistants are required to notify local police when an individual presents for treatment of a gunshot or stab wound.

Higher Level of Care (HLC) and/or Life, Limb and Threatened Organ (LLRO) Referral Centres

PURPOSE

Patients requiring higher level of care and/or life, limb and threatened organ care will be guaranteed access without exception to an acute care facility that has the programs and services necessary to care for the patient.

Medical Orders for Scope of Treatment - MOST & Advanced Care Planning ACP

New FHA initiative called MOST

Theses are the Medical Orders for Scope of Treatment. These are essentially the new DNR order sets and should soon be the standard at all Acute and Residential FHA facilities. They offer more room for patient choice.

Outside Referral to ER Physician Form

Please use this form when taking phone calls from physicians referring patients into the ER.

Upon completion, be sure to leave the form with the Triage Nurse.
