All the pieces of our Compartment Syndrome Monitor are finally in place!! It is located in the Trauma Room- T 3 side counter.
A couple of things to note:
1) Operating instructions are included in the case or see below for a PDF version
2) There is a risk for false readings if the probe is incorrectly placed in the muscle- insertion of probe is a PHYSICIAN responsibility
3) The probe needs to be sterilized in SPD after each use- the Nurse Aide will take down to SPD. Please be careful with this probe- we only have 1 and it is very expensive!
